Don’t miss the second half of our Grand Opening celebration with FREE shows from The Maldives tonight and The Whore Moans tomorrow! As always, doors open at 9pm.

This Friday it all starts again as Sound on the Sound present their first showcase here at the Columbia City Theater.  On the bill, local greats the Maldives will be headlining the show, and opening the show will be the lovely Zoe Muth & The Lost High Rollers which should give you all the reason in the world to come early (see below)

As reported by our pals over at Sound on the Sound, the July 3 Grand Opening show headlined by The Whore Moans will be their last.

Ever.

At least under that name. The band will be moving forward with a new project they’re calling Hounds of the Wild Hunt. How this new band will differ from the well-established Whore Moans sound only time will tell.  In the meantime, make sure to head on down to the Columbia City Theater on July 3 to see these guys one last time for the FREE show with Lesbian and Chinese.  That’s right.  It’s FREE.

Our good friends, Sound on the Sound, have been nominated in The Seattle Weekly’s Web Awards! Sound on the Sound have been a driving force of positivity for the Seattle music community for some time now, and we are happy to have them as part of our family.

Sound on the Sound will be hosting monthly showcases here at the Columbia City Theater, starting on July 2nd when they will be bringing a bit of Ballard to Columbia City for one of our four free Grand Opening shows with The Maldives and Zoe Muth & The Lost High Rollers

On August 6th they’ll be presenting another “not to be missed” gem with Kay Kay & His Weathered Underground alongside Head & The Heart
