This weekend we’ve got back to back record releases from two incredible local bands, but before Friday’s show kicks off the Seattle International Film Festival will be hosting a special free preview night. SIFF will be feature women-directed films that will be screening at this years festival. The preview begins at 7pm in the Bourbon Bar.
Stick around after the screening for a night of epic rock as The Stranger and Sonic Boom Records present the release of the new Virgin Islands record, Ernie Chambers v. God. Also playing are some our favorite guys, Hounds of the Wild Hunt. And if that isn’t enough for you we’ve also got The Fucking Eagles and Sugar Sugar Sugar

We’re pleased to host the lovely Curtains For You for their record release show on Saturday. For an insightful, revealing conversation with the band, take a look at this recent interview with Matt and Mike Gervais by our very own Mark Jones and Luke Williams:

Our resident filmmaker Mark Jones (you may recognize him as the guy stamping your wrist at the door) and audio intern Luke Williams (of Youth Rescue Mission) made this preview of our upcoming shows. Check back here for more short videos of equally high caliber in the near future.

Pickwick is not just a great band blending pop, soul and rock. They also want to teach you a valuable lesson on ocular safety. After a recent tragic (and hilarious) incident in their rehearsal space, the band is on a mission to help other creative types avoid the same fate that fell upon lead singer Galen Disston’s eye.
Enjoy this promo shot by Mark Jones and myself. The band will perform at the theater in honor of the release of their new release “Myths: Volume 2″ on December 17 with Thaddillac and Fly Moon Royalty. Tickets can be purchased here.
