Naked City Brewery and Taphouse will be showcasing it’s fine beer for this month’s Beer in the Bourbon brewer’s night with Simon & Ben. There’ll be great beer, awesome music and a bunch of beer schwag raffles. Things start off at 6pm and will wrap up around 9pm.
After you get your fill of Naked City’s tasty ales, stick around for the great show in the theater with Blame Sally. They’ll be playing two sets tonight with Ali Marcus opening.
We have another great brewery to feature for this month’s Brewer’s Night with Simon & Ben. This time it’s Naked City Brewery and we’ll have their fantastic Cadillac Coat IPA on tap – a beer inspired by Simon’s song “Cadillac Coat.”
Besides the delicious beer, great music and raffle drawings throughout the night, we have some tasty new options coming out of our kitchen as well as updated versions of our old favorites. And come check out the remodeled Bourbon Bar. It’s a much bigger and inclusive space now!
We may be known for our fine selection of Bourbons here at The Bourbon Bar, but we know our tequila too. Join us this Thursday for drink and food specials and live music by our mariachis for the evening, Simon & Ben.
Besides our regular chips and salsa and heaping plates of nachos, we’ll be offering tamales ($2 each or three for $5) and margaritas and tequila shots are only $3 for the night.
Simon & Ben will be playing in the Bourbon from 5 – 7 and at 8pm we open the doors for our show in the Theater with the Joe Hagman Trio, BC Campbell, Michael Giacolino, and The Parade Schedule. Tickets for the theater show are only $6 and can be purchased here.
Join us this Thursday for our second Brewer’s Night hosted by Simon and Ben. This month we feature the fabulous Roslyn Brewing Company. Besides their great beer, there will be raffle drawings throughout the night giving away growlers, pint glasses, and other great schwag from our friends in Roslyn. And of course, Simon and Ben and friends will be performing music too.
We made the trek over to Roslyn to see this brewery in action and sample their tasty beers in person. Kent showed us around and then we headed down to enjoy a few at The Brick, the oldest working bar in Washington!
The fun starts at 7pm. Make sure you try blending the Brookside pale and the Roslyn dark beer. It’s delicious! See you there!
Thursday: Simon & Ben (in The Bourbon), Davidson Hart Kingsbery, Norman Baker & the Backroads (video premiere), The Crying Shame
We have quite a jam-packed weekend of events kicking off Thursday with Simon & Ben entertaining in The Bourbon for the opening of a new art installation featuring the work of Zak Alexander. Come in early tonight and see Zak’s art while Simon and Ben perform for you before the show in theater begins. – 7pm // Free
After enjoying some tunes in The Bourbon head on back to the Theater for three amazing acts of roots, rock and folk. Davidson Hart Kingsbery headlines the night and Norman Baker & the Backroads will be premiering two new music videos during their set. Here’s one of the videos that was recently released:
Opening up the show will be The Crying Shame who’s music has been described as decribed as gothic/orchestral/folk/americana. It should be an amazing night.
Friday: Betsy Olson, The Golden Blondes, Carrie Biell
Betsy Olson continues the weekend with her gritty power blues joined by another friend of theater, Sera Cahoone, on drums. The Golden Blondes play main support complimenting the headliner with their own brand of dirty rock sprinkled with catchy hooks and Carrie Biell opens the night with her sweet velvety voice backed by a band of classic country players.
The weekend ends with bang as the Austin, TX based Balmorhea wow you with their epic compositions. This instrumental ensemble tells stories through mood and emotion more vividly than most bands do with lyrics. Benoit Pioulard follows suit with dreamlike soundscapes that will enthrall you with his hypnotic voice, used more as an accompanying instrument than anything else. Opening will be Tiny Vipers, the gorgeous and delicate solo project by Jesy Fortino of Seattle. Her ambient folk music goes beyond expectations and is sure to captivate the room.
