This event has passed.

Cyrille Gosselin and the U’Up project was born from Cyrille wanting to pass on the thrill of the stage to his students as he still remembers one particular jam at Manny’s Carwash in New York 15 years ago.  It was a blast to get up on stage with the horn section, the B3 and so on. That thrill is something that every musician should experience.
Join us to celebrate Cyrille’s birthday:
Act I - Cyrille with the U’Up project -  performing Pink Floyd and more. From acoustic bluesy ballads to dreamy Pink Floyd guitar solos.
Act II - Cyrille and guests - playing music with friends, some from the finest Seattle music scene like Hans Brehmer on keys, Jeff Terada on tenor sax, Billy Brandt, Frank Anderson revisiting Aretha Franklin, BB King, Otis Redding and others, and Joey the Saint playing tenor sax stomping dirty blues and more... Get ready to clap and dance.
Act III - a jam and a jam and a jam…
Cyrille Gosselin Bio
Born and raised in France. He discovered his grandfather’s guitar 30 years ago and hasn’t stopped playing since. He studied guitar at Jazz à Tours for 7 years where he learned harmony and different guitar styles (fingerpicking, jazz, progressive rock, blues, bossa…). Cyrille has a bachelor degree in Musicology.
In France, he played gypsy jazz on the streets, in wines bars and inside castles all around the Loire valley – “the best training there is as far as being a performer because we were playing just as a guitar violin duet, with no amplification, keeping fast tempos, all for the love of music and the crowd’s attention.”
In those years, he was also part of a progressive rock band called the Lubeck Heads (latest album You or Another You, mixed by Jon Goff in Seattle @ Self-adhesive records).
In 2002 Cyrille arrived in the US and quickly started performing.  He has played solo acoustic gigs and led several different jazz/ blues combos with Katie Malik, Nikko Olajoyegbe, Darin Clendenin, Billy Brandt, Joey the Saint at numerous venues like Egan’s Ballard jam house, Nectar, Tutta Bella, and the Seamonster Lounge.  In addition, he performs for private events at places like Januik winery, the Seattle Convention Center, Tula’s, and most recently the Seattle Center Armory for French Fest.
Aside from performing, Cyrille created and is the owner of Goss Productions music studio which is fully equipped with mics, pianos, saxophone, clarinet, guitars, bass, banjo, etc.   In the studio, he records and produces different projects and teaches.
