We Are The West is a convergence of sound and space both rare and compelling. Over the past three years, the Los Angeles-based group has steadily made a name for themselves with their intimate and hauntingly beautiful songs, and their uniquely organic approach to performance, bringing new meaning to the terms “underground” and “garage band.” Equally at home in concert halls and improvised spaces, We Are The West has cultivated a loyal following, in large part through their ongoing and immersive concert series in the underground parking garage of an office building, the Saturday before each full moon.
Kaley Lane Eaton is a composer and vocalist currently based in Seattle, WA. Her work has been performed across the US and internationally, in venues ranging from Hong Kong concert halls, to the streets of Skid Row in Los Angeles. Seattle's Live Music Project calls Eaton's work "startling," "intriguing" and "enjoyable ... fresh, thoughtful and, importantly in the nova music area, pleasant on first hearing." With a background as a multi-genre vocalist, instrumentalist, and teacher, Eaton's work crosses genre boundaries, exploring how the voice, body, and unconscious world of the performer can provide musical data through electronics and improvisation.
Jerrod Matthews is a Americana singer song writer from Madison Wisconsin. His writing style includes elements of alternative, Delta blues and jazz, soul, folk, and modern hip hop/R&B
